The Museum’s 9-floor building covers 20,500 square meters of land area, and the museum is approximately 220,000 square feet, with 15 exhibition halls occupying over 40 percent of the building. The museum includes a 250-seat hall, offering virtual tours and many other events for the public.
The Government of Mongolia decided to establish the Chinggis Khaan Heritage and Cultural Institute, responsible for promoting the legacy of Chinggis Khaan and his role in the history of Mongolia and the world, as well as for historical records and research of the XIII century. Following the decision, by government resolution dated July 3, 2019, was issued to build Chinggis Khaan Museum.
